Expected outcome

What you’ll achieve

  • A dated campaign timeline supported independently by verified website pages and captured newsletter messages.
Step by step

Follow the workflow

  1. 1

    Verify both source mappings

In Settings → Profiles, confirm that the official website source and the intended newsletter source are assigned to the correct company. Either source can be useful independently.

  2. 2

    Open Website Changes

Review first-seen links and captured pages to find launches, campaigns, promotions, or messaging changes. Prioritize commercial pages over routine technical URLs.

  3. 3

    Validate a website change

Open the captured destination, check its first-seen timing and content, and confirm the page belongs to the company before treating it as a launch.

  4. 4

    Open Newsletter Tracking

Compare send dates, subjects, themes, and captured message content for the connected newsletter source. Distinguish a missing capture from a period with no observed sends.

  5. 5

    Connect owned and paid activity

Look for the same offer or message across a new page, a newsletter, and paid ads. Cross-channel repetition often indicates a meaningful push.

  6. 6

    Record the timing

Use first-seen and message dates when building a campaign timeline or response plan.

Quality check

Verify your work

  • The website and newsletter sources are assigned to the intended company
  • Every cited page or message opens and has a usable observed date
  • A claimed cross-channel push appears in more than one source where possible
Troubleshooting

If something doesn’t look right

No website changes appear

Confirm the mapped domain, date range, collection status, and whether useful URLs were newly observed.

No newsletters appear

Verify the newsletter source and distinguish collection failure from no sends in the period.

A captured URL is noise

Exclude routine technical or account pages and base the finding on customer-facing commercial destinations.

Scope

Limitations and safeguards

Limit

Collection observes supported public pages and captured newsletters; gated content, personalization, regional variants, or uncaptured messages can remain invisible.
