Expected outcome

What you’ll achieve

  • One competitor profile that groups every verified paid, organic, website, and newsletter source belonging to the brand.
Before you start

What you’ll need

  • The competitor’s official website
  • At least one verifiable channel or advertiser identity
Step by step

Follow the workflow

  1. 1

    Open Settings → Profiles

The Profiles section is the control centre for tracked companies and channel assignments.

  2. 2

    Fetch profiles from the website

Paste the company’s official website, choose Competitor, and select Fetch Profiles. Leado attempts to discover available social channels and create or update the company.

  3. 3

    Review the company role

Use Competitor for direct rivals, Inspiration for brands you want to learn from, and Own company only for your brand. Role selection affects comparisons.

  4. 4

    Add missing channel accounts

If discovery misses a source, add its Meta Page URL or ID, Google advertiser, TikTok Page ID, LinkedIn advertiser name, or Instagram username in Add channels.

  5. 5

    Assign channels to the company

Choose the company and each unassigned channel, then select Assign Channel. Repeat until all useful sources are grouped under the same profile.

  6. 6

    Verify the result

Open Companies and the new company profile. Data appears as each source completes its first fetch; empty dashboards immediately after setup do not always indicate an error.

Quality check

Verify your work

  • The company appears once in Companies with the Competitor role
  • Every assigned Page, advertiser, profile, or website belongs to the intended brand
  • The company becomes available in each relevant channel filter after the first successful fetch
Troubleshooting

If something doesn’t look right

Automatic discovery misses a channel

Add the official Page, advertiser, or profile identifier manually, then assign it.

A dashboard remains empty

Confirm the source assignment and allow its first fetch to complete.

An agency advertiser contains unrelated brands

Map only verified brand sources and use category or advertiser exclusions where the channel supports them.

Scope

Limitations and safeguards

Limit

Tracking is limited to supported, observable sources; private performance data and channels that cannot be verified are not available.

Good to know

Important notes

Note

Avoid creating separate company profiles for each channel. One company profile should group all sources that belong to the same brand.
